Inside this brochure, you will see the most innovative, advanced binding designs Marker has ever offered. When you ski on the new PISTON CONTROL System you will experience feelings and sensations like never before. You will see first hand why Marker bindings are so different, so unique. We are proud of this impressive new line, and we are sure you will be too. Without a Marker component in your system, your skis are not the same. During a backward twisting fall, release is all but certain after 4 to 5 millimeters lateral movement. The Biometric Channels immediately reduce the upward release force by 25 to 50% depending on the skier’s individual release force setting. This reduces the force on the skier before the boot exits the system. No other binding has a feature that works like Biometric. Unlike plastic or Teflon, Marker’s Integrated Stainless Steel AFD’s performance is virtually unaffected by dirty or worn boot soles, negative sliding friction, outdoor temperature variations, combined load forward or backward twisting falls, or the downward weight of the skier on the AFD. The Comshock Piston absorbs short duration shocks with extreme efficiency. Energy transfer is accurate, and performance is enhanced as the skier stays square over the ski. When the Mechanical Toe Cups open, the remaining binding force drops instantly, allowing the boot to exit the system immediately. Marker’s unique Total Contact Design allows the toe cups and AFD to work together to respond to the complex dynamics of backward twisting or forward twisting combined load falls.
