Hermit's Hut Outdoor Specialties is an outdoor sports and gear shop located in northern California. At Hermit's Hut our goal is simple. We strive to provide a sense of community among outdoors enthusiasts by offering technical advice for your every concern and providing you with the outdoor gear you need to make you experiences worthwhile.

Being fortunate enough to be located in Shasta County (the heart of northern California), we are able to have a knowledgeable staff who participates in everything from rock climbing, hiking and camping to skiing, snowboarding and snowshoeing. We are the type of shop that you can come in and chat about a recent excursion you just came back from, ask a question about a product we sell, or simply come in and get to know us. In 2001 we were able to launch HermitsHut.com, our international online extension to the world. It has truly been a joy serving customers all over the globe. We try to think of ourselves as an international hub providing camping, hiking, backpacking, ski and snowboard, mountaineering, technical and rescue gear and advice.

We re-use all cardboard in our custom boxes and recycle all paper products we use. We do everything we can to keep our world clean, we encourage everyone to leave no trace when enjoying the outdoors.

I have recently ordered a new snowboard from The Hermits Hut, to be delivered to me in the UK. I sent a few emails to the guys there who always responded promptly and answered all my questions prior to be placing the order. Once the order was placed the customer service I received was second to none. These guys are the embodiment of what I would call perfect sales staff. The packing was more than adequate to protect my board during international transit, now I just have to wait for the snow to come for me to enjoy it.
