Product Description

A variable-friction belay device, Black Diamonds ATC-XP keeps the silky feeding of the ATC but increases your braking power. For belaying and rappelling with 7.7-11 millimeter ropes, it’s designed with a smooth low friction side and a high friction side with v-shaped grooves for three times more friction so you can keep your friends from hitting the deck like a lump of coal. An extended central web keeps caribiners and ropes oriented correctly and reduces kinking. And we all know we could use a little kink reduction.
