Alpina's ASC XT Cross Country Poles are made from lightweigh aluminum, with a soft foam grip. The tip of the pole is carbide, giving it a deeper bit and letting you propel yourself farther and stronger. The adjustable strap wraps around your wrist so that when it comes time to stop and take a break, when you get started again, you won't need to bend down and pick up a fallen pole. The basket is wide, giving you better purchase in new fallen snow and they resist sinking in thinly packed snow.
